Carey is a founding partner of Mosaic.  His responsibilities at Mosaic are broad and involve oversight of the entire planning process as well as the continued enhancement of the firm’s analytical tools. Beyond planning, Carey is also responsible for all financial and operational roles critical to running a thriving business. Prior to forming Mosaic, Carey spent nearly a decade at a boutique wealth management firm where he was instrumental in developing their financial planning process and many of the sophisticated tools utilized in nearly every engagement.  Carey grew up in Houston and earned a Bachelor’s in Business Administration & Finance from Houston Baptist University, graduating Magna Cum Laude.  He earned his Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation after completing course study at Rice University in Houston. Carey also teaches courses in estate planning at University of Houston.

Carey and his wife, Ashley – his high school sweetheart – have four children, who keep them on their toes. In his time away from the office, Carey coaches his kids’ soccer teams and serves on the board of his local Municipal Utility District.  With any remaining free time, Carey enjoys running and has completed numerous marathons, half marathons, and an ultra-marathon.
