Reid Thompson - J.D.

PLANNING STRATEGIST

Reid is a Planning Strategist at Mosaic. His job: take the complex financial, legal, and tax picture of entrepreneurial families and turn it into clear decisions they can act on. He builds the models, maps the entity structures, and creates the plain-English deliverables that make complicated situations manageable. His background as a tax attorney sharpens every part of that work.

Before Mosaic, Reid worked in Grant Thornton’s Mergers & Acquisitions service line, supporting buy- and sell-side due diligence projects, conducting Section 382 and earnings & profits studies, and collaborating with the Washington National Tax Office on federal tax credit engagements.

Reid earned his law degree and bachelor’s in Finance from the University of Oklahoma. While in school, he gained experience at law firms focused on estate planning and corporate law, and supported the General Counsel of a regional bank. He was selected for the university’s 56th President’s Leadership Class and participated in the JCPenney Leadership Program at the Price College of Business.

Outside of work, Reid is a passionate supporter of his Oklahoma sports teams (Boomer Sooner and Thunder Up!) and loves checking out new restaurants around Houston. He spends his time with his fiancée, family, friends, and dog.
